GeekGear World of Wizardry November 2017 Christmas Special Edition Box
Hey!
A couple of days ago my World of Wizardry Special Edition box for Christmas arrived and here is what I received! There wasn't many hints for this box but the email did say there would be exclusive licensed Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts merchandise and an exclusive Jumper.
I was quite excited as I had received the first Special Edition box and I loved everything in it. Once I opened the box there was Christmas themed tissue paper which was cute and I will probably reuse.
The first item in the box was a Festive Jumper, looking at the descriptions of the items there were two different designs. One for Harry with a H that was Blue and a Red jumper with a R for Ron which is what I received. I think this jumper is quite a cool idea, most of the designs that are supposed to replicate Mrs Weasleys jumpers are just block letters but this one is made up of smaller Wizarding World related images.
Also in the box was a Pin of Dumbledores Phoenix, Fawkes, quite simple and in the same sort of design as the other Geek Gear pins, I have added this to my collection!
The Fantastic Beasts 3D Framed Poster is quite nice, it appears to move as you view it from different angles, it goes quite nicely with the previous 3D poster of the Fantastic Beasts in the first special box although they have different frames which is a little annoying.
Seeing the Rock Candy Luna Lovegood, initially I was a little disappointed it wasn't a standard POP! to add to my collection. Although once I took it out of the box and saw how detailed it was, even the Quibbler she is holding has a detailed design on the front and back, I knew there was nothing to be disappointed about. It just means now I am going to want to collect the Harry Potter Rock Candys too.
Also in the box was a Fantastic Beasts Niffler Keyring, when I saw this I was quite happy as it matches the Bowtruckle Keyring received in the first Special Edition box. It is the shape of a Niffler with the wording through it.
Another print in the box was the Swooping Evil Print, designed to look like a page from Newt Scamanders Journal, I quite like this, it matches the Sniffler version from the July box (When looking back to find out which box it was in I didn't realise it was so long ago!)
There was also a Marauder's Map Heat Changing Mug in the box, as I don't drink hot drinks I usually use mugs with designs I like as storage, but with this mug I won't get the full design on display. Once I took it out of the box and saw the Mischief Managed on the bottom this instantly made me love it a little bit more.
I was quite surprised to see a T Shirt in the box after already receiving a jumper but I do like the design on this and it has one of my favourite quotes, although the actual T Shirt is black so I'm not sure if I will actually wear this as I don't generally wear black T Shirts but we shall see once the weather gets a bit warmer to wear T Shirts again!
Overall I did enjoy this box although in my opinion I think the first Special Edition box was better. 5 of the 8 items were exclusive to Geek Gear (The Pin, Swooping Evil Print, Fantastic Beasts 3D Poster, the Festive Jumper and Headmaster T Shirt) My favourite item was the Rock Candy Luna Lovegood, it is so detailed!
